Where in the World?

Counties in The UK.

Do you remember our assembly on Devon and Cornwall? Which county is furthest south? Where did the Cornish pasty originate? How do we know?

Follow the link above then look through the photographs and try to remember what we discussed.

Good luck!

    Q.Which county is furthest south?
    A.Cornwall is furthest south.

Q.Where did the Cornish pasty originate?
A.There has been argument between Cornwall and Devonshire about which county had discovered the Cornish Pasty. The recipe for the Cornish pasty was actually written in a Devonshire notebook. The Cornish pasty was invented for people who worked in coal mines. 3/4 of the pasty was savoury and 1/4 was sweet.

  4. Which country is furthest south?
I think that Cornwall is further south than Devon.

Where did the Cornish pasty originate from?
There has been a quarrel between the Cornish and the Devonshire people; a recipe for a cornish pasty was actually found in one of the Devon cookbooks meaning that they invented the pasties.
